Browserbase API Integration

Authentication Setup

  • Use API Key authentication
  • API keys are managed via the Browserbase dashboard
  • SDKs available for Node.js and Python with both sync and async clients

Key Endpoints

  • POST /v1/sessions - Create a new browser session
  • GET /v1/sessions - List all sessions
  • GET /v1/sessions/{id} - Get session details
  • DELETE /v1/sessions/{id} - Terminate a session
  • GET /v1/sessions/{id}/recording - Get session recording
  • GET /v1/projects - List projects and usage
  • POST /v1/contexts - Create reusable browser contexts
  • GET /v1/extensions - Manage browser extensions

Events to Track

  1. Sessions - Browser session creation, completion, and recordings
  2. Projects - Project-wide usage and configuration changes
  3. Contexts - Browser context creation and reuse across sessions
  4. Extensions - Extension management activities

Implementation Tasks

  • Set up basic integration structure following integrations/github/src/index.ts pattern
  • Implement API key authentication flow in account-create.ts
  • Create API utilities in utils.ts for sessions, projects, contexts, and extensions
  • Implement sync logic in schedule.ts for polling session data
  • Convert session/recording data to CORE activity format
  • Add error handling and rate limiting
  • Create integration documentation
  • Add to integrations/README.md

Technical Notes

  • Each browser session represents a single browser instance running in the cloud
  • Supports integration with Playwright, Puppeteer, and Selenium frameworks
  • Sessions can include recordings for debugging and auditing
  • Contexts allow reusing browser environments (cookies, localStorage) across sessions
  • Python SDK supports both synchronous and asynchronous clients
