Description
Data Collections Clients
Some logs collection solutions are documented under the Loki / clients docs but not under the Grafana Cloud / Logs docs:
- Fluentd / Fluentbit
- Logstash
- Docker driver
- K6 Load Testing
- AWS
- EC2, EKS, ECS
- Cloudwatch & load balancer: the title of the Loki docs page is misleading just saying “Lambda Promtail” rather than calling out Cloudwatch and load balancer (BTW what do we mean by load balancer)
OpenTelemetry Collector is not listed as a Grafana Cloud Logs client
Where is the documentation of our solution for Kubernetes logs? I would like to see it in a Grafana Cloud / Logs / Clients section
The Grafana Cloud Cloudwatch metrics integration documentation should refer to Grafana Cloud's solution for CloudWatch logs: the “Promtail Lambda”.
Grafana Agent is not listed as a Loki / Grafana Cloud Logs client alongside Promtail. see https://grafana.com/docs/loki/latest/clients/
It's complicated to understand the difference between Promtail and Grafana Agent for logs, some solutions are only documented with Promtail when Grafana Agent seems to be the recommended solution today.
Grafana Agent Logs config doesn't document the "positions" for reliability when it's well documented for Promtail (here).
Authorization, PII...
- Can we make guidance like the webinar Managing privacy in log data with Grafana Loki a part of the documentation and make it specific to Grafana Cloud Logs (rather than branded Loki).
- Can this guidance include a summary of our authorization best practices (cloud org -> stack -> multitenancy -> RBAC & Access policies). See also
