Description

Summary

Local common median reference (CMR) in preprocessing seems like it should fail local_radius=(250, 250), causing fallback to global CMR every time. Not sure if this is the intent, or if I'm misunderstanding the code. I also wrote a note near the offending code for greater context (in aw_dev branch)

Impact

  • Potentially changes preprocessing behavior and downstream burst/network metrics.
  • Might be happening on most/ all runs (needs confirmation).

Where

MEA_Analysis/IPNAnalysis/mea_analysis_routine.py in run_preprocessing():

rec = spre.common_reference(rec, reference='local', operator='median', local_radius=(250, 250))

Expected behavior

  • Warning logged: Local CMR failed (missing locations?), using Global CMR.
